You must wait at least 24-48 hours after your official start date for our records to be updated. You may wish to call our office, at (951) 827-2273, to see if your records are available.

After that, visit the Card Services office at the Highlander Service Station to have your photo taken and R’Card issued. You will need to know your eight-digit Employee ID # and have a valid government photo ID (Driver’s License, Passport, etc.). 

You may also submit a photo online. Log in to with your NetID and carefully follow the instructions. You will be notified by email if your photo has been approved or rejected. Once approved, your R’Card will be available within two business days. Card Services reserves the right to refuse any photos that do not meet our requirements.

There is a $30 fee, payable by credit or debit card; we do not accept cash, checks or American Express. Your department may offer to pay for your R'Card with a web recharge. If so, please bring the recharge document (which must include your name and employee number) when you pick up your card.
