How To Obtain Card
To get your R'Card, come to the UCR Card Office located in the Highlander Union Building (HUB), Suite 249. You will be asked to fill out an application and sign that you have read and understand the provisions of the R'Card Agreement (Click here to view the agreement). You will also need your Student Identification Number (SID) or Employee Identification Number (EID). For your protection we do not use Social Security Numbers.
Photos are taken at the UCR Card Office in the Highlander Union Building (HUB), Suite 249 from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, for a fee of $25. Bring a valid form of ID, such as a driver's license or passport. Appointments can be made, but are not necessary.

You will need to show us a photo ID (Driver's License, etc.) so we can verify who you are before we can produce your R'Card. We will then take your picture and produce your card right on the spot. The whole process takes about 3 to 5 minutes and you will walk away with your new R'Card. Remember to sign up at your Residence Hall for meal plans and Dining Dollars to take advantage of the convenience of your new card. And, you can deposit money into your 'Bear Bucks' account for purchases around the campus. Simply log in to My Card Account to put money into your account.

- Replacement R'Card - $20
- Badges - $5
Students will be automatically billed for this cost on their monthly student bill (Growl). Staff and Faculty have the option to pay the replacement fee with cash, check, credit/debit card.
Your account is activated and ready for you to add value at any time as soon as you have received your R'Card.
Please note if obtaining ID card for the first time at UCR we will not begin issuing ID cards until the week prior to the quarter starting. For example, if you are starting at UCR in the Spring quarter we will not be able to issue you an ID card until the week before classes begin.
